Rich in The Tube of Death

Muckno 25/05/07

Well this was the day that the Sumo Tube was conquered. Many a man tried it and only one succeeded. Chris and Wilson all tried the tube of death and didn't succeed bloodshot eyes and water to the brain was all to much to hold on any longer but one man came above the rest, goes by the name of Rich arms like tree trunks, legs like steel, cold and hard, if ya ask me.... most people do he was 23 years old if he was a day. He managed to break through the pain barrier to commence skimming the water and let the sumo tube punish ever limb in his body. Chris was Skiing flat out with a few poses for the camera for good measure. There was a few hours spent trying to get Rich and Wilson out of the water on the ski's but they didn't succeed averaging about 20 false starts between them... next time maybe. So all in all it was an amazin day of Fletcher action.

Weekend Antics

Its now Friday morning in work and the anticipation for the weekend is gettin to be quite a burdon, outside it looks amazin the sun is out and would be a nice day for the Fletcher, all being well the weather holds up as Rich and Wilson have to endure a 100 mile burn from Dublin to fit the the swan neck to the bimmer, all going well we should have the towbar slipped on in a few hours and it will be ready to tow the fletcher to Muckno early Saturday morning. The forecast gives a good morning with showers coming in late afternoon so the general plan is to get in the sumo tube before the rain comes. All week there have been careful preperation in the Gym so that when the sumo tube hits the water we will be able to hold on for more than 10 seconds. Rich has been workin on the Triceps, Biceps, Brachialis and his Lateral Epicondyle. So the arms are ready and weather prevailing the Sumo tube will be skipping accross the top of Muckno tommorrow morning. BBQ is on the cards for lunch at the waterside so any participants are reccommended on bringing a few borgors to eat. So hopefully the weather, petrol, sanity holds out long enough to have a great day of Fletcher Action.

Fletcher @ Muckno 26/05/07

After a long break. It is time to embrace the waters of muckno once again in the fletcher. Dur to high winds and the fact that i wasn't home the covers remained securely on the Fletcher this weekend. However Saturday 26th May will be a different story.
The plan is to leave early. However as myself and Wilson are attempting the fit the Towbar to the 320D the night before if we run into any problems, we may have to make the trip in the Citroen Xantia with the hydropneumatic self levelling suspension, Truely a tool.
If all goes well Muckno will be reach at 11am, with a bifder in hand. The map above shows the location of toome point to anyone who is unsure of the way. Please remember BTW is strictly banned from this event due to the possible effects mixing it and the sumo tube could have. Arrive early to ensure best craic is had.
Stay tuned for further information.

Rain, Sleet, Snow, Anything But Sun.......

Muckno on Saturday was a successfull outing. Chris managed to ski in a rain storm, Rab managed 8 full body rolls coming off the chariot, Rich swallowed 3 gallon of water and Wilson recons his kneck was broke three times. So going forward the weather seems to be a bug within the Fletcher Action plans, rain last weekend didn't spoil anything but the thoughts of another drowning is being seriously considered, with rain due all weekend the fletcher may rest her ponies for another weekend. One memorable occassion from Saturday asside from Rab coming of the Chariot was running out of Petrol in the middle of the Lough, Ski's were used as Oars Chris pushed the boat from the water and everything was going nowhere fast. The primer bubble contained enough fuel to get us within 100 yards of the shore where a Jerry Can awaited thankfully we made it in and were back out tubing and skiing away within minutes. Rich has aquired a Swan Neck towbar for the 320 so once this has been slipped on the Bimmer it will get to tow the Fletcher for first time and then Rich will have fully made it. Possible names for the boat are required, an idea i had was possibly callin it Visual.

Rich on The Chariot

Rich in The Sumo Tube

Wilson on The Chariot

All in all the outing was a success think Sean and Rich felts the affects of the Sumo Tube as they were half drowned and got a mouthful of Neagh water. The Fletcher proved to be a beast not to be messed with towing the lads at an awful rate of knots.
